Lakshmi (also known as Parvati and Shakti) is the Hindu diety associated with abundance, fertility, luxury, and auspiciousness.
I've always had a special connection to Lakshmi through my bhakti yoga practice. This murti lives in House of Yoga, a donation-based yoga studio in York, Pennsylvania where I once practiced (and taught).
Image was made on TMax 400 with a Mamiya RB67 medium format camera. Alas, my notes on development have been lost.
Archivally printed as an 8x10 on Canon Pro Lustre paper in a white 11x14 matte & signed.
